Sip 'N' Puff Accessory

$169.99

The Shirt-front SIP ‘N’ PUFF ACCESSORY allows an individual, unable to use their hands or fingers, to activate fishing line retrieval on any of the MPOWR Fishing Reels, hands free, and thus retrieve a lure or bring in a fish by biting on a bulb attached to clear tubing or puffing into the tubing.

The tubing is attached to a puff switch which in turn is plugged into a jack that is part of the power button, normally fastened to the fishing rod. 10 feet of tubing is enclosed as part of the complete kit and can be cut to length as needed by an individual. This can be 1.5 to 2.5 feet in length. Two shirt or jacket-front clips are included. They can be adjusted up and down the tubing as needed and stabilize the tubing to the user.

To activate the reel for line or lure retrieval, gently bite on bite bulb, compress bite bulb with lips or blow into tubing. This action will allow the small puff switch to convert the air pressure to activate power to the reel.

We recommend using the bite bulb to activate the reel rather than puffing directly into the tubing, as saliva could eventually reach the actual puff switch and render it unusable.  If puffing directly into tubing, allow enough extra length to tie a loose loop in the tubing, close to the puff switch, to “collect” saliva that might be in the tubing during use. After use, disconnect bite bulb and puff switch, allowing tubing to dry out.

ATTACHING PUFF SWITCH TO POWER BUTTON CASE

The male jack on the one foot power cord attached to the puff switch is inserted TIGHTLY into the female jack on the side of the power button case. The power cord and/or puff switch can be secured to the fishing rod with a twist tie or a short length of electricians tape.

Insert one end of the PVC tubing into the protruding connector of the puff switch. Cut tubing to desired length. Attach one or two of the tubing clips (as instructed below). Finally add bite bulb at the open end of the tubing. To activate line, lure or fish retrieval gently bite on bite bulb at proper intervals to get lure or fish close to rod.

If one prefers not to use bite bulb but determines to puff or blow into tubing, add a loop in the tubing to prevent saliva from contaminating and damaging puff switch. After use, allow tubing to dry out. Secure power cord from power button case to puff switch to fishing rod with twist tie, zip tie or electricians tape to prevent damage to puff switch.

ATTACHING BITE BULB TUBING CLIPS

Two clips are included in each SIP ‘N’ PUFF package. Fold clear strap of each clip around tubing and snap shut. Adjust the clips up or down the tubing and align and clip to shirt or jacket where desired.
